TUTTLE

Founder of Nimbus Co, and one of the most genuinely kind, creative and expansive women we've ever met, Su is one of our 'Small Biz BFF's' who rides the rollercoaster with us. Exhausted, exhilarated or emotional - we're always able to empathise with each other. We sat down with Su to discuss female empowerment this IWD.

In order to have equality, there must always be empathy and a genuine respect for all living things.

I literally had no idea what I wanted to do until my late 20s.

Who put their sisterly hand down to help you early on?

"My mum certainly played a role in helping me early on in life to enjoy the simple pleasures and always do work that makes you happy. However in all honesty I literally had no idea what I wanted to do until my late 20s and early on in my career there were times I often felt lost, lonely and really unsupported.

Through this I think I felt somewhat inspired to create an environment that women felt super supported and always had opportunities to grow fulfil their dreams. Since starting Nimbus I have been overwhelmed at the amount of incredible female role models who have been willing to put their sisterly hands down to help this includes our team who is 99% female and some my closest friends (I may be bias, but this includes my fam at Peaches - who have always helped a sister out)."

What does equality mean to you?

"Equality is feeling supported in all that you do and say in the world regardless of your race, gender, values or religious background, it's about being able to fully express yourself without fear of judgement, it's about being heard and listened to and that your opinions matter. In order to have equality, there must always be empathy and a genuine respect for all living things."
